We have been CHALLENGING OUR MINDSET this week. We spoke about how to make our bodies healthy and what makes our brain active. The children came up with some fantastic suggestions. We also spoke to how to look after ourselves and everyone agreeed that was the most important to be healthy and happy!
Suggestions such as getting enough sleep, eating our vegetables, smiling every day, exercising, reading a book, not playing on electronics!
We spoke about instead of saying ‘I CANT do this, what about changing your mindset to…. ‘if I keep practising I will be able to do this’
And instead of ‘this will do’ what about ‘us this my best work?’

We have had a great time with our sparklers to celebrate Bonfire Night! We wrote our names and made shapes and patterns!
We spoke about how to be safe with sparklers and we all listened and followed the instructions carefully. We used a carrot at the end of the sparkler to be extra safe so it was distanced from ourselves and of course had our gloves on!

Did you know…. The art the children did was called ‘Mehndi’ which is a form of body art and temporary skin decoration originating in ancient India, in which decorative designs are created on a person’s body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant!
