04/09/21- We have settled back into Fusion really well and had lots of fun playing with all the new toys in the sunshine 
ROSH HASHANNAH
Rosh Hashanah 
At Fusion this week we have been celebrating the Jewish Festival – Rosh Hashanah and learning about the New Year. We made some honey biscuit to celebrate a sweet new year, we played Bingo with symbols of the festival and made our own ‘Shofar’ which is a rams horn trumpet which is used to symbolise religious ceremonies!

We made bees and apple pastries to signify a sweet new year. We spoke about accomplishments and what we have done this year and what we want to achieve next year- this was a great self reflection and the children were able to plan ahead!

– 17/09/21This week at Fusion the Junior children focused on Jeans for Genes Day. They designed their own pairs of jeans and made sweetie DNA. We had a really interesting debate about genetics and what makes us who we are!

We have been celebrating Yom Kippur and Sukkot this week at Fusion Jewish
The children had a Lego competition to make a Sukkah which is a temporary hut which is constructed during sukkot- we have some fantastic designs!
This week we have been celebrating Yom Kippur and Sukkot. 
The children made their own Sukkah and decorated it. We also made shofar’s which is a large horn made from a ram that is blown to mark the end of fast for Yom Kippur

This week at fusion we have been celebrating Roald Dahl and all his fantastic books.
Some of the activities included a golden ticket treasure hunt, BFG dream catchers, making revolting mud pies and finding James’ Giant peach!!!

We decorated our own chocolate/sweet wrappers, learnt about Roald Dahls history with a fun fact finder, made fantastic origami Mr Fox’s and made and ate edible sweet wallpaper!

We have made poems influenced from Benjamin Zephaniah- raps, inventions and listened to lots of black singer/songwriter’s music including Emile sande, Bob Marley, Beyoncé, Marvin Gay, Stevie Wonder.
