At Fusion this week we have been celebrating the Jewish Festival – Rosh Hashanah and learning about the New Year. We made some honey biscuit to celebrate a sweet new year, we played Bingo with symbols of the festival and made our own ‘Shofar’ which is a rams horn trumpet which is used to symbolise religious ceremonies!

We made bees and apple pastries to signify a sweet new year. We spoke about accomplishments and what we have done this year and what we want to achieve next year- this was a great self reflection and the children were able to plan ahead!

Black History Month
Throughout October we have been celebrating Black History Month and famous and influential people and how we are all different. We have looked at Lewis Hamilton, Nicola Adams, Stormzy. We have made poems influenced from Benjamin Zephaniah- raps, inventions and listened to lots of black singer/songwriter’s music including Emile sande, Bob Marley, Beyoncé, Marvin Gay, Stevie Wonder.
