My name is Helen Smith and I am a Play Assistant at Fusion ASC, I have worked in childcare for the last 19 years.
I have CACHE level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, level 3 in Forest School programme leadership and level 2 in Understanding Autism.
In addition to my role at Fusion ASC, I work at Fusion Pre-School, where I am a key worker and Forest School lead.
Over the last year I have been excited to get our Fusion allotment up and running and have enjoyed lots of visits with the children who are always full of enthusiasm! It has been a very fulfilling project and we are all looking forward to the year ahead.
I come from an Art and Design background, but since having my own children (26 years ago), have developed an interest in helping young people gain confidence, independence and grow their own interests.
In my spare time I like to meet with family and friends, pursue creative interests such as print making and of course help tend the the allotment 🙂
