My name is Jenny Toy and I am a Key Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Fusion Preschool, Southdown. I hold a Cache Level Three Early Years Educator Diploma and undertake regular training in areas such as First aid and Safeguarding. For more than twenty years I have enjoyed supporting early years children and their families in our community. I will pop back into my previous role as Deputy Leader whilst we adjust our staffing for maternity cover.
It is wonderful to be able to support children as they develop their confidence away from their primary carers. I enjoy establishing a trusting relationship with the children and planning purposeful play activities, based on their interests, to enhance their skills and encourage independence – through the joyful pleasure of play.
Away from Preschool I enjoy being outdoors, on my bike, walking or tending my allotment but always prioritise time with friends and family
