SEPTEMBER
WELCOME BACK
The day has finally come!
We were so happy to have all the children back and meet all the new Fusion children!
It was so lovely seeing the children reunite with their friends and hear all about their break!
It’s so crazy seeing how much they have grown over the summer period and we can’t wait to see they continue to grow over the next year
We had a little challenge for the children, get into a group of five and create an animal with your body!
The children loved doing this and it was great to hear them share their ideas with each other!
All parents that correctly guess all 4 animals right and comment them below will win your child/children five house points!
This week we have had a Roald Dahl theme! Children have had lots of fun designing their own book covers and exploring the different stories alongside a very fun quiz!
We also enjoyed creating playdough and taking part in a massive game of Tetris!
We had great fun climbing the tree, enjoyed some crafts and even found some time for an intense game of chess!
shana Tova! Happy Rosh Hashanah!

This week, the children have been exploring Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, through stories, conversations and hands-on experiences. We have discovered some of the special traditions and symbols associated with the celebration, including apples and honey, the shofar and Jewish stories and faith.
The children have enjoyed learning about how different families celebrate and sharing their own ideas, while developing their understanding of different cultures, beliefs and celebrations. They especially enjoyed apples and honey for pudding a group game of Rosh Hashanah bingo!
Wishing all our families celebrating Rosh Hashanah a sweet, happy and peaceful New Year!

Superheroes and Mermaids
We’ve had a fantastic time getting dressed up in the infants!
From brave superheroes to magical mermaids, our children have loved showing off their amazing costumes, getting into character and bringing their imaginations to life!

Did you know that socio-dramatic play has so many benefits for children’s development?
Through dressing up and role-playing, children develop their communication and language skills, practise social interactions, build confidence and learn to understand different perspectives. They also have opportunities to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills and emotional understanding as they explore different characters and act out their own stories!

It’s so much more than dressing up — it’s learning through imagination, collaboration and play!

Mental health week!
This week for mental health we have been challenging ourselves to draw something that makes us happy and is yellow: bananas
, flowers
, SpongeBob Square pants
.
We also had some relaxing music played by one of our children who is very talented
.
We have been looking at the book ‘ The Huge Bag Of Worries’. And the importance of sharing our worries with someone we feel comfortable.
We talked about the importance of looking after our mental and physical health so we worked together to build an obstacle course and junk modelled to help our creativity.
A problem shared is a problem halved.
Try this activity at home:
Things That Fill My Bucket
Think about the little and big things that fill our emotional buckets and help us feel happy, safe, loved and valued.
Talk with your child about the things that fill their bucket. These might be spending time together, having a cuddle, playing their favourite game, being listened to or receiving a kind word.
Ask your child:
• What makes you feel happy inside?
• When do you feel most loved?
• What makes you feel proud?
• What helps you when you are feeling sad or worried?
• What could we do together to fill your bucket?

a very special visit at Fusion!
The children have been enjoying playing with the cars so we were very lucky to have Dave visit us this week with his amazing car! The children were so excited to see it pull into the car park and were especially thrilled to hear its loud engine!
We were blown away by the fantastic questions the children asked, including:
“How big is the engine?”
“How do you fit a suitcase in the car?”
“Because it has no roof, what happens when it rains?”…. To which Dave replied ‘we get very wet!’
We are so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community, and experiences like this wouldn’t be possible without the kindness and generosity of the people around us. A huge thank you to Dave (and Ex Fusion parent!) for taking the time to visit and share his amazing car with us!
Do you have something different, something cool or something you think our children would love to see?
We would love to hear from you! Please get in touch with us to arrange a visit.

The children explored the achievements of inspiring Black figures through imaginative role-play, bringing moments from the lives of Lewis Hamilton, Marcus Rashford, Benjamin O. Davis Sr. and Simone Manuel to life!
We have enjoyed celebrating
diversity, equality and the achievements of Black role models
We’ve been getting into the Halloween spirit with lots of spooky crafts, stories and activities!
We’ve told spooky ghost stories, had a spooky rap battle (a big thank you to Samuel!
) and a dancing competition!
Our entries are now closed for the Spooky Team Drawing Contest, and we can’t wait to hear back to find out who has made it into the book!
Fingers crossed for our talented little artists!
