NHS guidance on preventing the spread of germs:

Germs can live on some surfaces for hours. To protect yourself and others:

• Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze.

• Bin the tissue and, to kill the germs, wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitizing gel.

This is the best way to slow the spread of almost any germs, including Coronavirus.

Main symptoms of Coronavirus:

• A cough

• A high temperature

• Shortness of breath

 

Advice if you have recently returned from travelling:

If you have arrived back from China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy or Macau* since 1 February, please follow the returning traveller advice on the Government website: www.gov.uk/coronavirus

How to isolate yourself if you think you could have Coronavirus:

If there’s a chance you think you could have Coronavirus, do not go to a GP surgery or hospital. Call NHS 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. Tell the agent you speak to at 111 about any recent travel and your symptoms.
